Bridging the gap between neuroscience and the classroom to better understand how children learn, develop, and thrive.

ABOUT THE LAB

The Learning Brain Lab is a group of developmental cognitive neuroscientists focused on understanding how brain development influences learning, behavior, and mental health in children and adolescents. Our work is guided by an important question: How can we better identify and support children with developmental difficulties to improve academic and mental health outcomes?

To address this question, we investigate brain function across a diverse group of young people, including children with reading difficulties, multilingual learners, and children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Our research takes a multimodal approach, integrating fMRI, network science, and clinical, neuropsychological, and behavioral methods.
